Best place for veg plug plants?

Can anyone recommend the best place to buy veg plants? I have mixed success with seeds so want to get some plants ordered as well - I had my eye on Rocket Gardens but they seem to have a lot of complaints about them on social media. Thanks 😊

Be aware that plug plants are tiny - the ones I bought recently are in a seed tray with cells less than 2cm.

Veg plants I'd probably go to my nearest garden centre or nursery ore even supermarket, so that I could see the quality of the plants. But less choice, of course.

eBay.
I buy most of my plants off eBay and they have always been great quality

Thanks both. I know plug plants are tiny but I think I can buy them at the ready to plant out stage?

No, I’m fairly sure plugs are always tiny and have to be grown on.
They probably won’t survive planted out.

Yes, you can buy veg plants at the ready to plant out stage but those aren't plug plants

Plug plants need potting on and aren't ready to go in the ground - they are really small and still tender. Wait until later in the season for better sized seedlings and you'll be able to plant them straight out.

I've used Thompson and Morgan, Sarah Raven, local council nursery and a few specialist places as well as the usual B&Q/Homebase stuff. each has their advantages. I definitely think it's worth it for the harder to germinate plants - my tomatillos never seem to work from seeds.

Then again, I planted 6 globe artichoke seeds a few years back and those buggers are MONSTERS now ;)
