Ideas for privacy in “shared” garden

Hi all. I bought my flat in September last year. It’s a block of 6 and a mix of ex council and council owned. Each flat comes with a section of the garden and I believe I legally own my bit as it’s in my deeds (though correct me if this doesn’t sound right!)

With Summer on my mind, I’m looking for ways to get some privacy in the garden without necessarily fencing it off as I think that might look a bit odd running between two sections? As I’m ground floor, I own the section of garden that’s just outside my kitchen window and the first bit of land when leaving through the back door of the close. I believe my neighbours have right of access but the bin shed is at the other side of the garden so no one has any reason to cross my bit.

I’ve had a look online in the obvious places like Pinterest but I think a communal/shared garden where some residents own sections must be quite novel as nothing seems to come up!

I haven’t measured it but if I was to hazard a guess, I’d put it at around 25x10 feet

Trellis with flowers / vegetables growing up it

I’ve not got a diagram sorry but it’s literally just a rectangle of grass currently!

I think I would grow climbers up trellis and also invest in some standard roses and lollipop type topiary to use along another dividing section.

...or I would grow a rose hedge. David Austin have hedging bundles in various sizes

How about a windbreak or windbreaks that you can stick up just when you are using your area? You could probably bury pipes into the turf so you can erect it easily.
