I've recently moved house and the garden here is a bit of a mess, i'm in the process of clearing out the borders ready for planting in spring but I dont want to accidentally throw something out that's actually nice, does this look like a weed or could it be worth keeping?

Also have these, they looked a little like foxglove foliage but thought it would be too early for that?
Thanks

The second looks like foxglove leaves but maybe not rosette-shaped enough? The other leaves that can look very foxglove like are the larger members of the forget-me-not family, eg comfrey. First picture is definitely worth keeping, could be quite a few things, Erigeron maybe?(not E karwinskianus, one of the purple flowered perennial ones).

It's a good rule never to pull something up until you've identified it. If nothing else, you get remarkably good at recognising seedlings!

Thanks mere think you're probably right with the comfrey, the Erigeron leaves look different when I've googled, dont think its that, thank you

Agree with meredint

I’d guess a variety of Erigeron glaucus

MereDintofPandiculation · 13/01/2020 11:44

Did you look at the right Erigeron? E glaucus leaves look similar to your photo, and there are several similar species (which is why I didn't specify E glaucus). But most of the early hits are E karwinskiana, which is an annual species with quite different leaves, and which has soared in popularity over the last couple of years.

Ah thank you MereDintofPandiculation & Trethew that does look much more like it.
I'm relatively new to gardening and with a few exceptions I only know what things are if I've planted them myself Blush
Thank you for your help.
