Comfiest garden seating

I'm trying to figure out how best to re-landscape my small garden. Main priority is to set up a paved area for new seating in the sunny corner.

Any recommendations for super comfy seating where I can cosy up with a book and a gin?

Requirements: padded seat, support for the back, ability to raise your legs, not a lot of faff to get ready.

What's worked for me is a cane sofa with padded cushions on a roofed terrace, so we've just left it out all summer and don't have to mess around with rain covers or carrying cushions in and out (you'll use it less if you have two trips in and out, one with cushions, one with book and gin); and a hammock with a waterproof sleeve so that all you have to do is slide the sleeve to one end. Ours is slung between two trees but you can get hammock frames - they're a bit large, though.

Without cushions I find the most comfortable option is those chairs which have a woven polyester fabric seat and back - they don't look as good as wooden furniture, but they're comfortable and you can leave them out in the rain.

Your requirements sound perfect.
All the trendy looking seating has a low back and nowhere to put your feet.

I think maybe I need to wait until the spring and the then go and sit on a lot of chairs in a garden centre. But my problem is I need a vague idea of what I'm planning to get to make sure we build in the right amount of paved space. And we're doing this over the winter when the shops are not sticking much garden furniture. Very confused...

Anyone else got some ideas?

I have a wooden steamer chair. It has a comfy cushion and can be altered to several positions.

Make your own sleeper benches.

I live on my swing bench in summer. I just keep the cushion in the shed. It's comfortable, I can put my feet up, lay down, and the shade keeps the sun off. Bliss.

Thanks all.
Any links or suggested makes?
I'm struggling to find comfy ones that aren't hideous Smile

I ordered this in the sale on the basis of excellent reviews. It has a little table for your drink and book/phone! Unfortunately the weather turned before I got a chance to use it but I shall be whipping it out in the spring Smile
I like the adjustable sun shade as we're SE facing. All their goods come with a generous guarantee.

I have my eye on their wooden bench too as I'd like to set up a little seating area elsewhere in the garden. It's only 120cm wide as opposed to the usual 150cm but it ought to fit my small patio better. I already have a mini folding wooden table from Aldi and I plan to source an outdoor footstool. Until then I'll continue propping my feet up on an empty garden crate. Doesn't quite fit the aesthetic Grin
Amazon are quite reasonable for padded bench cushions and covers to match the size of your bench.

If I was looking for a 3-seater bench I'd get the wooden one currently on offer for £59.99 at Robert Dyas. A relative has it and it's very sturdy. The online reviews are also excellent.

Our best garden chair is an old IKEA Poang but we have a summerhouse we can lift it in and out of.

The zero gravity chairs are comfy I find, better for sleeping than reading as you need to be upright for that.

Maybe try here? www.quatropi.com/garden-conservatory/

Not sure if you'll get a good deal in January sales. Or wait that little bit longer for the weather and more in stock?
