is it true you can change their colour?
hate my pink one

It depends on your soil type I believe.

Blue ones turn pink but I don't think you can change pink ones.

I may be completely wrong though

It's about iron, I think they need iron to flower blue, otherwise they flower pink or even fade to a creamy white (or is that another cultivar?). My mum used to chuck her worn out steel wool pads under the hydrangea to keep it blue. If you use a Mooncup you can dilute the contents and use that as well (good for roses, too).
