Greenhouse selection

Hi Guys, My mum has just moved house and wants to replace a very old falling down wooden shed with a good quality greenhouse. She does not want a basic thin aluminium framed one - she will be looking at it a lot so she is prepared to spend a bit more on something that looks good and lasts well. The trouble is neither of us know anything about greenhouse manufacturers. Can anyone give us an opinion about or a suggestion of some good brands? Mum really likes the look of the Cultivar greenhouses (www.cultivar.com/) - has anyone got one? What is your view on the quality?

For my money rhino greenhouses are the best. Not cheap but Will look good and last years.

I am
About to buy a rhino. They look very sturdy and have good reviews. Have been told Robinson are 'the' greenhouse, but you would need to have a healthy budget!

What made you choose a Rhino?

We have an Alton greenhouse. It’s made of Cedar, has two sliding doors, a workbench and staging, also automatic ventilation.
DH did a lot of research and considered the quality of the Alton very good value.

I think I'd get an aliminium one rather than a wood one, less maintenance. Even though they don't look as lovely.

@JennyK76 me? I ordered a few catalogues and I liked theirs the best, tbh! They have colour options and sent out little samples of the aluminium.

The other one I considered was a Robinson's victorian but they are £4K and I cannot justify it to myself or OH! 😂

I don’t at present have a greenhouse. Have before but no where really to put it in my present garden.
My choice for rhino is on previous purchases and would I again buy a greenhouse I would stick with the rhino.
They are so well made and nothing at all is flimsy about them. They have a good range of size options so will fit most spaces, you can add extras like more vents, windows and purpurse built staging.
And a big plus for me is it is a British company, making it product here in the uk.

My mum says she doesn't like the look of the Rhinos. She is prepared to spend a bit more but we would really like to hear from someone who has a few of these premium brand greenhouses for a few years to see if they are worth the additional price tag.

We’ve had our Alton for 3 years. It’s still in perfect condition, is British made from Cedar and has a 10 year guarantee. The retailer sent a rep. to make sure our site was going to be the best for getting the most from the greenhouse. It was delivered and erected on our preprepared base.
It wasn’t the cheapest but we are very happy with it.
