Where to buy garden plants from online?

I am sure this has been done to death - but any recommendations as to where to buy garden plants online?

I have bought some fabulously healthy and cheap plants from YouGarden - but those were ad hoc purchases according to what the had on promotion and now I am looking for some specific plants - specifically

  • cistus silver pink
  • hebe alibicans red edge
  • trachelosparmum jasminoides
  • hebe mrs winder
  • euonymus emerald gaiety
  • clematis alpina.

Crocus have all of these plants other than Hebe Mrs Winder - though I have sometimes been somewhat underwhelmed by their offerings (and price) - though customer service is good

Hmm - have been trying some sites recommended on (much) older threads and they do not have the range of stock Crocus do...

Have you tried EBay? I have bought several plants from Westcountry Gardens in Bideford (I think their seller name is donkeydaisy) and found them very good.

As odd as it may sound, I have been using Amazon for plants, with great success. The challenge would be that whilst you will probably find what you need, they are unlikely to come from the same supplier, so you may have to get several deliveries and pay lots of P&P. Definitely worth a look.

I love Victoriana Nurseries for loads of traditional plants and Rocket Gardens for veg.

I got some lovely plants (trees and shrubs) from Ashridge Nurseries recently. Good prices, good service, and the plants are really healthy.

I have had great success with Amazon and eBay- it’s just that not all of the plants are available from a single seller on those market places (and I’m not able to take time off for multiple deliveries).

I will take a look at Ashridge and Victoriana Nurseries

I have my Amazon delivery preferences set to leave in back garden if not in. If usually works great but on the odd occasion they ignore this, they leave it with a neighbour.

If neighbours are around, they will take in parcels. Otherwise there is no safe place.

Crocus plants have always been good quality for me. De Jäger for bulbs. If you can get to a RHS show the sellers are generally decent, or you could even google which sellers are at a RHS show and check their websites.

I know it’s not online but B&Q had Mrs Winder when I went today, so if you don’t find it online you might find it at your local one?

Thank you! I don't have a car but can manage one Mrs Winder!
