Indoor succulents - String of Pearls

I'm sadly not green fingered in any way but I do love plants.

I recently bought a String of Pearls succulent plant to cascade over the side of the mantlepiece.

The room it is in is not the sunniest of rooms but it's the one with the mantlepiece and it's where I want it to live.

But I don't think it's happy.

My question is - will it live in the not the sunniest of rooms (front of house where plant is is north facing)

if it won't live there and I move it - what can i buy instead that will cascade down and like a north facing room?

Thank you.

I love succulents. Your string of pearls will want some sun/light but 4 hours a day will keep it going and avoid sun in the afternoon when it is at its hottest. Indirect sunlight would be best.
Make sure the pot has good drainage. Use a cactus and succulent compost and add a little perlite if you have it to the mix. Don’t over water or allow the pot to sit in water. Don’t over fed either. I only fed my succulents once a year in spring before I put some out in the garden for summer.
If it starts to strivel or the pearls start to break off then you know it is not happy and might need moving.

They do need very good light really, so not really suitable right inside a north facing room. Light drops off inside a room alarmingly away from windows where plants are concerned. While full sun can dry the leaves up, they still need very good light. (It's proper name is Senecio rowleyanus, named after Gordon Rowley, who was President of The British Cactus and Succulent Society).
This is mine (variegated form) hanging in my North facing porch, which still doesn't get as much light as I'd like, the trails are nearly 5' long.
You really need to look for a trailing houseplant that is happier with low light levels, maybe Scindapsus or similar.

Thanks so much.
i'll move it and see how it does. It's so beautiful.
I'll look into a Scindapsus, thank you so much for that tip. Your SofP is beautiful! Lucky you.
