Wilko garden sale?

I'm looking to get some trough planters from Wilko, but I've noticed that seeds are now all half price and I feel like reductions on the rest of the gardening range can't be too far off.

Does anyone know when a sale is due to start / when it might have started in previous years?

I can't see it being anytime soon as the gardening season is just kicking off. I've bought pots before from Wilko's which never went in the sale.

Seeds are going out is season and will go from half price to 75 % off soon.
Next the bulbs will do the same.
Everything else won’t be on sale until September.
Wilko operates a 2 main seasons rotation and at the end of summer the Christmas stick will start coming in and the seasonal garden stock will go 50% off and then down to 75% off. After Christmas there will be a few weeks on special sales items, usually plastics, winter duvets and the like then back to summer gardening stock.

Thank you, very useful information! I'll bite the bullet and pay full price without the feeling that I'd be paying half if I waited a week!

I thought the Wilko sale was approximately July (keep an eye out towards the end of June in case they bring it forward). I always miss the reductions online, they go very quickly. I think instore might be a better bet though I miss those too! They seem to keep adding stuff and I'm not there often enough.

Aldi has some great garden stuff on the website and instore. New products get uploaded every Sunday - sometimes it's a gardening week, sometimes not. Free home delivery on purchases over £20.

I bought some self watering troughs for my windowsills last year and they're pretty good. Only plastic but a decent size and they have a shelf in the bottom to store water without the roots getting waterlogged. I saw the square planter version in stores the other day - the troughs were probably nearby. They were a godsend in the heatwave last year and only cost £4!

Oh wow the troughs are sold out online but available instore:

Search 'self watering' for the other options

Gareth No seasonal sale doesn’t start until September when the warehouse has to be cleared out for the incoming Christmas stock.
In July you might get a few reduced hanging baskets as the demand for them will be dieing off and if DC still has lots left they might be sent to some stores to sell off. Not all stores will get them as it will depend on the stock levels left at the separate distribution centres( Wilko has 2 serving different parts of the country.
Usually by July there won’t be many of the baskets left and more space will be given to bbq.

Forgot to add that if you have a Lidl near you their pots are very reasonable and good quality.
Also in Morrison’s stores now ceramic nest of various sizes in for £15 and £12 depending on the set. Also good value and quality.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out come September!

I really rate Aldi for their plants, just wish they would water them whilst on display.

The Aldi stuff is interesting. Could I grow plants up this do you think ?!

Indeed user - it's tragic!

Plural I wouldn't buy it specifically for that purpose but if you have one already I believe you could! Are you trying to make a kind of den or just disguise it? I'd be tempted to cover it in some square pea netting (Wilko) and cable tie it on nice and taut for your climbers to grip onto.
