Scented container climber for shady wall

Hi
After a disaster with the wrong kind of clematis (my fault Blush) I'm looking for recommendations on what to grow instead. I'm hoping there is something vigorous and scented that I can grow in a large plastic planter that will climb up the wall trellis and around my kitchen window. Problem is that the spot only gets the sun in the morning then will be in shade for the rest of the day. Are there any roses that smell really nice that would put up with a container?
Any suggestions welcome!

Summer Jasmine is wonderful

There aren't many climbing roses that like being in a container and don't mind partial shade. If I were you I'd either ditch the climbing part and have a bushy rose in a pot - there are some which don't mind partial shade so much or I'd go for another plant completely which likes shade. I have Trachelospermum jasminoides in my garden. It can grow in a container but it'll need to be a big one (at least 50cm wide) and if you live in a colder area you will need to cut it back and move it somewhere warmer in winter then move it back to your favoured spot in spring.

There aren't many climbers which like shade and are scented as far as I know. There are however shade tolerant clematis which will grow in a container if you really want one www.thorncroftclematis.co.uk/quick-selection-lists/shadetolerant.html?limit=50.

@handslikecowstits (have to keep namechecking while typing - excellent name!) - thanks I'll check out the link. Am pushing it with roses I think so will have to think of something else. Really wanted something climbing and scented and am stuck using a container as no soil in that area.

You could try a Camellia as they love shade and pots. Bonus that they are evergreen so would give you somewhere pretty for your Christmas lights.
Not many have scent so you would have to do your research but there are some. Not cheap and not particularly quick growing or maybe because mine receive no love, attention or feeding.

Honeysuckle doesn't seem to mind the shade and will happily grow in a container.

Brilliant suggestion re honeysuckle - have none in my garden whatsoever slaps head
I've been out to look at said clematis and its grown like a mad thing in literally a week! It's still skinny and weedy but looks far more vigorous than last year. Now I need to find out if I should feed it/change soil etc.

Trachelospermum jasminoides, but it's slightly tender.
