Does anyone have Pittospoum Elizabeth in shade please?

I have a lovely one (variegated, with pink tinged edges) but it is in a west facing, sheltered spot and it gets a fair bit of sun.

I have a sheltered, dry shady pot, between a fence and a garden room, which gets about 2 hours of sunlight in high summer. I was hoping to plant some Pittosporum Elizabeth with climbing hydrangea up the fence, and some ground cover like cranesbill geraniums and heuchera.

I just don't know how P. Elizabeth would do in these conditions.

Sorry I don't know but watching with interest. Pittosporum Elizabeth would look amazing in the shade! I have one in a sunny spot in the garden too- such a gorgeous shrub.

It has been such a good find for me, I agree, it is lovely! I recommend it on here a lot but I don’t think it has many admirers. Maybe it is seen as a bit boring, but I think it offers a lot.

Hoping this bumps the thread a little.

We have one on a west facing wall, shaded from the south by our porch.
Only gets direct sunlight from the setting sun and then only for about 4 months in the summer!

It's doing just fine.

Yes it will be fine, the main thing is that is had free draining soil and protection from wind.

Lovely! Thank you both. I have lots of ideas for my shady spot, I am starting to wish it could be bigger!
