Can anyone recommend a good soil for indoor plants?

I need to replace the soil for my indoor lemon trees that have a sticky leaf problem. Can anyone recommend a good soil that you can order online? I'm confused as everything I come across seems to be "potting compost". Is that what I need?

Well, potting compost varies from dreadful to very good, depending on the brand. As you want to repot citrus trees, the ideal compost might be one specific for citrus, such as this one: www.amazon.co.uk/Westland-Potting-Compost-Enriched-Seramis-x/dp/B076642YQP/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=citrus+compost&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8&qid=1542321346&sr=8-1 which is made by Westland. I use Westland John Innes compost for potting plants (not citrus) and have found it excellent quality.

Have a look at this quite interesting thread about houseplant soil.

Ikea do some pumice granular growing media called Vaxer which is good for mixing in with normal potting compost. It means you can give plenty of water and feed, and the soil stays moist but free-draining. That might help with your citrus. People who grow bonsai trees use similar stuff.
