Any point in sweeping leaves up from the garden path or using those blower things
The whole neighborhood indulge in this at least one a week
Pointless in my opinion

I would clear leaves because, 1. They become slippery 2. They can harbour plant diseases 3. They look unsightly 4. You can bag them up as leaf mould.

I used to clear ours up with the blower. Huge job it was too because we were surrounded with giant monster trees, twice the height of the house!

One year I threw a bit of a tantrum and told DH it was his damn turn so of course, they never got done that year. I regretted it. They turned to slime and mud and ruined the gravel driveway. It was never the same again, getting out of the car into quite mucky ground.

If you leave them on the grass, quite often the grass underneath dies or goes slimy.

If they're on your grass, run the mower over them. It'll still be growing in this mild weather and the chopped up leaves will rot down and nourish it.

Blowing/raking up leaves more than twice in autumn is full on OCD behaviour. It doesn't benefit you in any way. My garden was under 8" of sycamore leaves from a single tree and it too me ten minutes to rake up as many as I could be bothered to then run the mower over the rest... Job done.

We are surrounded by trees and have a steep drive. If we don't keep on top of clearing leaves off the drive, it can quickly become slippery and dangerous. You can get a car stuck just as if it were snow so yes, clear them away. DP has just gone to the tip with some tonne bags full of leaves.
