Dragonflies/Damselflies

Are they dangerous in any way - do they sting? For some reason they keep coming into our house, and I don't know whether or not to worry about them.

No - I don't think so anyway. They are just big (well dragonflies are) - do they find their own way out again OK? (Do you live near water?)

I don't live near water, but one of the neighbours whose garden butts onto ours has a wildlife pond, so I assume they're coming from his garden.

Unlike flies they buzz around the window, so they don't find their way out again. But Ifind that I can catch them in the bristles of the broom if they land on, say, the ceiling, and shake them out of the window that way.

Thanks for that link, BTW. I think what I'm getting are damselflies.
