Foxes

I have tried everything but am unable to stop the local foxes using my garden as a playground! They are repeatedly digging up my flower beds so I was thinking of planting something prickly to deter them. Any suggestions? I thought maybe some rose bushes...... Thanks

Not sure if it works but someone told me to sprinkle human urine Confused around the edges of the garden and they stay away but I don't know if it's true Hmm

Yes I've heard that. I haven't tried it. I tried Scoot which is a chemical that you put on your boundary and is supposed to deter them as it smells like another animal. Doesn't seem to work though!

Human urine - has to be male (so I;m told) the more adult the better.
DH refused , DS (18) obliged in a plastic bottle and sprinkled it about.

It does naff all Hmm

Man wee works. We have rabbits and live semi rurally and they never come in our garden...

We woke to find part of our new lawn dug up recently and a fox that we have seen trotting through our garden was the most likely culprit. We put a radio on quietly in the shed and left the window slightly open.Apparently the sound of human voices will deter them, especially at night so we left it on Radio 4 rather than a music channel.Oh and DH had a pee on the hedge near where we thought he came through each night when he ran the dogs out last thing. It is a fair way from the house !It seemed to do the trick.

We woke to find our newly laid lawn had been dug up ,and a fox we've seen regularly trotting through was thought to be the most likely culprit. We were told to put a radio on quietly ,with voices rather than music to deter them.So we put one in the shed with the window ajar, and left it on at night for a couple of weeks.DH also had a pee on the hedge where we knew foxes come through last thing at night whilst running our dogs out.It is a fair way from the house !So far we haven't had any more damage.

Sorry.wrote another post as thought I had deleted the first !

Thank you for the tips. I might try the radio thing. Most everything else has not worked. In fact it seems to be worse as I am cleaning up 3 or 4 lots of fox poo every day Sad as they try to claim back their territory.
