Can't find piccie for life of me.

If needs be will take photo.

Clues...
Wasn't there winter time.

Growing very fast.

Climbing fence....with curly viney gripper things.

No buds obvious

Leaves growing to size of my hand....with five sections iykwim.

could be bryony - a wild thing grows in hedges generally. tiny white flowers, grippy tendrils like sweet pea tendrils, has lovely red berries in autumn. bit of a thug. disappears completely in winter.

just looked at the picture. that's virginia creeper, sorry no flowers to speak of but fab colour in the autumn, give it until Xmas before you massacre it you might like it.

Your husband looks just like mine, but mine has a thing about eyeliner and dressing up as a pirate. mmm.
