Japanese anemone dried out

We got back from holiday yesterday evening and one of my fairly new anemones looks very dehydrated.

I gave it a good drenching yesterday and will look properly at it in the light this morning but am wondering what to do to help it.

I imagine cut back the worst dried up leaves and keep watering it? Your thoughts would be appreciated!

They are very tough, but make sure you don’t waterlog it. I have a clump planted under a tree, and they survived the summer and a month of not being watered. Patience is the answer.

These ones are under a tree so that's reassuring, thanks! I'll just keep watering it and hope for the best then Smile

I put some in this year in May, and although the leaves that were there when planted did die back during the dry spell despite my best efforts, the plants have survived and re-grown from the base.

Dm has given me some which .i immediately put in a pot. They did die back but have new leaves. Where is the best position for them?

Thanks all - I've read that they're pretty indestructible! They seem to be happy in the shade.

Mine perked up after 1 bog dose of water! The dry and crispy brown leaves are obv. Goners, but the rest resurected itself Grin
