My shed is currently rotten in a lot of places and the water runs in. I cant afford a new shed, what can I do to stop the water leaking in?

Is it the roof or the walls? Or both? Can you post a picture of the condition it's in?

Also, have a look on your local Facebook Marketplace page - I've just looked on mine and there are at least a dozen offering a free shed to anyone who can collect. Some asking you to dismantle, some have already taken them down.

Look on freecycle or FB giving away pages. You might pick up a free or very cheap one.

I’ve just bought a brand new shed 4ft x 6ft for £210. They aren’t expensive.

If the water is leaking in and you want to stop it - I don’t think you need to ask the question. Block up the source of the water ingress!

I am unable to put it up sadly, it's wooden as well

Yes, free sheds! If you are willing to take it down and rebuild yourself, they are available.

If you can’t find one advertised, advertise yourself. It may spur someone into getting g rid of their shed that they’ve been meaning to do for ages.

You'll have to wrap your shed in waterproof paper in that case. Either way, it's a physical task.

Felt: www.wickes.co.uk/IKO-Green-Mineral-Shed-Felt-Roll---1m-x-10m/p/164174

And stop up and holes in the sides.

Do you know where the water is getting in?

blackbirdbluebottle · 15/07/2018 17:26
