Rosa Rugosa? I think

I agree, they’re great and also come in white. They are often sold as a hedging rose and you can spot them along planted road verges.
I’ve got one, the flowers only last a couple of days, but are very prolific all summer through. In the spring you can prune it quite hard back, it’s very forgiving.

Yes, it looks like Rosa rugosa. I love them but don't have space - they can get pretty large, often used in hedges. I think they don't repeat flower; don't deadhead them as they should make lovely big fat rosehips.

We have those planted all around work - they smell gorgeous, like hot cross buns. I took a few cutting each of the pink and white last week as I cycled past, I don't know where the hell I'll fit them but I couldn't resist!

I also planted one in my previous garden, but because I didn’t have room for it to grow big, I pruned it so it looked like a standard rose.
Just cut of all the side shoots each spring.

Ooh, lovely! I'm going to make myself some Alice in Wonderland style standards : )

Amazing thank you everyone I'll add it to my list of plants to buy.

Should I plant in autumn or spring??
