Me again! We have this giant bee magnet but I wondered what it was and if it can take some chopping back once the flowers are gone?

Looks like Ibiris an evergreen form of candytuft. There are several varieties. Lovely plants.

MsHomeSlice · 26/06/2018 15:25

i think it might be a daisy bush....I have one similar.

big prickly looking waxy leaves??

Have a google for Daisy bush Olearia and see if any of those match up.

TheVicarOfNibbleswicke · 26/06/2018 15:26

Oh I don't think it's either of them I'll try to get a close up of the flowers!

do an image search for daisy bush olearia....there's LOADS of different looking ones.

a close up would help though

fabtasticmrpox · 26/06/2018 15:40

Is it Alyssum?

Trethew · 26/06/2018 18:21

Could it be a hebe, maybe Hebe topiaria? A closeup showing the leaves would be helpful, and some indication of the height

Botanica · 26/06/2018 18:27

I would also suggest Hebe but it's hard to see the leaf shape clearly from the photograph.

MrsBertBibby · 26/06/2018 19:02

Far too late for Iberis to be flowering surely?

I would guess at a hebe too.

TheVicarOfNibbleswicke · 26/06/2018 20:00

More pics!! It's grown massive over the few years and I need to tame it!

Oh yes hebe! My partner's physio has that outside his house. I am going round there to take cuttings! What a beauty!

TheVicarOfNibbleswicke · 26/06/2018 20:07

Thanks again to everyone! I love you greenfingered mumsnetters!

I love this it's such a bee magnet but it's gotten massive and sprawls! I'm
Going to cut it back a bit next spring!

It's hebe. I have the same but it's gone woody and a bit dead looking underneath so make sure you trim it regularly. Much of mine is now a long woody dead looking branch with that lovely leaf and flower at the tip
Apparently trim in the autumn not spring
