Are these planters naff

These, good value but I can't see before I buy. I need a few to make a 'wall' of flowers - 4 metres worth. so five of those (£220 ish). I quite like that they are plastic. I have got some of these which work really well plant wise, they are near my garage, but I am not sure if I like them enough to buy more for inside my garden.

I quite like the RHS ones here. £600 for those so I would probably buy three and add the rest later on (hoping that they are still available which is a risk).

could be an alternative.

£300.

They are going alongside a red brick wall to make a flower bed. I want planters for the increased height but don't want the hassle of making raised beds (and I will move my plants to a sheltered position in the winter).

I like the Amazon ones. They got good reviews. The problem is that unless you can't tell how they are by the photo alone.
Could you order one and if it's ok then get the rest?

I can never manage buying plastic ones. I don't trust them to weather as well as natural materials.

Sorry, yes I think they are naff.

For the amount of money you are happy to pay for the RHS ones I would look at someone local making some bespoke wooden ones for you. If you like wood that is.

Cheaper ones look nice
I have plastic too because it's easier to carry and put away
It's a copper colour and I've had people ask "are they heavy" because they think they're real. I got mine on eBay so cheaper, we had to collect though.

They've survived all weathers no worries.

I have bought both the more expensive ones you are looking at (different designs same material) and both have broken within a year or two and just rotted away...

Thanks all, I don't want wood coldcottage, we are very handy and have made nice wooden ones in a previous home but I want something else.

That is really interesting pinkroseuk, I think I am inclined to go for the Amazon ones. Lighthousesouth, those cheap ones are now two years old and will go on for years, I just wanted something different but I am pleased with them just not 100% sure that I like them enough to buy another six, although that would be a lot cheaper.
