Any ideas if this is plant or weed?

Does anyone know if this is a plant or weed? It has sprung up all over my flowerbeds but no idea if I should be pulling it out or not?

I've had a look around online - maybe chickweed?

Thank you! Smile

do you like it where it is? then it's not a weed.
sorry can't help with identification

Does it smell of anything? Looks a bit like oregano.

CVLB · 09/06/2018 19:06

That's a good point - I don't particularly like where they are so should just pull them out I guess! Trying to get to grips with a new garden, have no idea what I'm doing Blush

No, there is no smell to them

I’d say chickweed too.

My eyesight is not brilliant, but looks like Euphorbia to me - does it have a creamy white sap if you break a stem? The sap and foliage is very caustic though, so gloves an essential!! If it is Euphorbia it is very "thuggish" and will sucker and take over everywhere, if given half a chance

Ohyesiam · 09/06/2018 19:23

I thinks it might be an annual euphorbia, so no the thuggish tendancies if you get it before it flowers and sets seed.

Weed weed weed, speeds fast, get it out pronto before it sets seed.

CVLB · 09/06/2018 19:26

Beekeeper1 yes there is white pus if you break a stem so that might be the culprit! I have never heard of that so will do a bit of investigation. Thank you so much!

It's Petty spurge - Euphorbia peplus, pull it all up, as it seeds everywhere.

The white sap is an irritant, so be careful not to get it on your skin or near your eyes
