What's wrong with my buxus? Photo attached

I've got 2 buxus outside the front of my house, they've been there about a year. In the last week one has gone completely yellow, the other is now started to go the same way.

I've also got some sort of hebe which has gone brown and crispy.

We've had a lot of heat over the last month, so maybe they have dried out and are now dying? I watered them when I noticed the yellowing and it's rained quite a bit recently but maybe the damage was already done?

Please say I can save them!

If they've gone yellow, I'm afraid they've had it. Maybe they were dry just a bit too long, Or it could be an attack of Box blight.

Box tree mot in all likelihood. It's been going all over Western Europe - my dad's buxus is completely ruined (was all over their massive garden and has been growing for almost 30 years - he was devastated).
There's nothing you can do I'm afraid. Bayer I believe sell something but it's illegal in several countries - not sure about UK.

Oh no :-(

I've tried to post the photos of it but they won't loads for some reason, sounds like you get the idea though.

Shall I water them lots and cross my fingers? Or is there anything I can do for box blight?

I have to admit they do look like they've had it!

They are all in pots of that makes any difference.

Overwatering is as bad as under watering - you'll rot the roots. I don't know of any product for blight, I'm afraid. You might be able to rescue the one that still has green growth, but it will always look unsightly.

Box blight, probably.

Our area has a big problem with box Caterpillars and moths. We spray and go through the plants looking for the caterpillars which are voracious eaters and then spin cocoons. I have a pheromones trap for the male moths. All available online, xentari I think it’s called.

I've just taken my box bushes out as they were completely chewed to shreds while we were away by the box moth caterpillars. They weren't that large but had been in for about ten years and had grown together nicely. I'm quite peeved.

Box caterpillars are all over the country now. Have a look on RHS website.
