Insect ID - in lavender

I found what I think are rosemary beetles in my lavender hedge (pic 1) - can anyone confirm? I'm picking them off and crushing them. Is there anything more I can do? Without using pesticides.

Also, for pic 2, is this a ladybird larva? The one that's orange with black spots. I've been leaving those alone.

Yep, Rosemary beetle. They do eat lavender but aren't generally a problem as they appear rather fleetingly. I'd leave them alone unless you're getting millions. The last photo is a ladybird larva, well on it's way to ladybird-ness. Lovely lavender by the way.

Great, thanks Unremarkable!

I'm looking forward to seeing lots of ladybirds soon.

Yes rosemary beetle in the first one

I checked with our local lavender farm a few years ago about the best way to control them as we had loads (we have a lot of lavender)

They said to pick off & crush but as pp said unless you have large numbers they’re unlikely to do much damage

Oh dear. I have these on my Rosemary and they have done a lot of damage. In fact I am going to dig the very large bush out. Now I am concerned that they will affect my lavender as well!
