Quick clover/bee query

Hi - my lawn ha grass is inundated with clover patches. This encourages many bees, one of the DCs was stung by one last year and is now hysterical about going on the grass unless it's just been cut Hmm
Does anyone have any tips for stuff I can sprinkle on the grass to deter them?
Obviously humane ways only. We have plenty of flowers for the bees but they just love bloody clover more.

I think your best course would be to remove the clover from the lawn:

Thanks for your reply - ideally yes! But I'm he majority of weed killers need you to stay off the lawn which just isn't doable, garden is tiny, kids are tiny too and won't comply Grin
I was hoping someone may have an old wives tale of sprinkling baking soda or something equally weird...

Apparently garlic powder deters bees...

There aren't many selective weedkillers available on the domestic market that will clear clovers. Try and find a professional in your area. Complete weed control may have a nearby operator. With selective, its only necessary to stay off the area until the product has dried on the leaf. If it were possible to do a late afternoon application, this should give a decent period before the children want to play on it.

Oh that's great news! I'll try the garlic tomorrow and go and find some of the fast drying stuff. Thank you superstars! Smile
