Weeds, nice plants, horrid plants??

I have oodles of stuff growing in my garden which I need to identify. No idea if they are things I want growing or not! Does anyone know what any of these are?

clearsommespace I think you're right - I think mine is solidago too. Looks just like the not yet flowered pics.

DH will be thrilled about the cow parsley - he was convinced it is the same thing he sees growing by the roadside, so will be pleased he gets to destroy it.

I'm fairly sure the first picture in the first post is the herb valerian.

MissWilmottsGhost you are right - it is sweet cicely! It has the same long green fruit things hanging off it. Won't dig that out then!

I don't think its cow parsley, I think it's sweet cicely.

This is mine today. The seed pods are very large and turn black.

There is also things like parsley in the background of your pictures so I think there has been a herb garden there.
