Please would it be possible to get some help / plant ID. two of the photos are of a tree which seems to have multiple stems but it's shading a lot of my garden so I'd like to heavily cut it back / cut t down.

The other purple one I'm just not sure what it is but it attracts a lot of bees.

first one looks like a deuzia.
lots of white flowers and bees love it. you can prune it quite hard.

First photo- lilac?

I second duetzia.
I agree you can cut it back - hard.
I chopped my 2 down to the ground with a stump left last summer.
This summer I have it growing up again (only 8 inches growth)
I will let it grow back but not to taller than the garage and 5 foot wide!!
The other one is Bowles Mauve.

Oh wow thanks
Mine is huge though. Maybe 4m so will take a lot of cutting.
I don't mind if I accidentally kill it though but apparently it's good for shade.

No flowers in mine though is that right?

No flowers - the orange is a geum next to it.
I think it grows on last year's stems so expect it next year.
We ignored the books and just sawed it from the ground and hoped for the best.

I would have replaced it had it died, as the bees absolutely loved it.
