I once dug up my garden and found old newspaper which were from the 1960s so that.

OP posts:

A Charles and Diana wedding plate 😂

Dumbledoresgirl · 25/04/2018 18:57

Horse teeth.

purpleorchidwhite · 25/04/2018 19:09

A decomposing dog that had been wrapped in bin bags and barely buried 6 inches.

We had just moved in.

It freaked me out.

UtterlyDesperate · 25/04/2018 19:11

A UXB from WW2.

Felyne · 25/04/2018 19:12

Enough bricks to create a border for my flower beds.

Didn't someone on here dig up a human skull? Their property was adjacent to a cemetery if I recall correctly. That would take some beating.

Iputthescrewinthetuna · 25/04/2018 19:57

Gosh, you all did up some exciting/strange stuff!
A newspaper from 60's! I would love that!

I have dug up old transformer toys and old broken pegs! That is as exciting as it gets for me! Maybe I need to dig a little deeper!

NoNoCharlieRascal · 25/04/2018 20:00

Felyne yeah they did, and a poster commenting about popping it in the dishwasher to clean it up had me in stitches.

MaisyMary77 · 25/04/2018 20:05

I dug up a rather rusty Victorian iron and a cobblers shoe iron. I use them as doorstops now.

Nellyphants · 25/04/2018 20:06

A baby’s shoe probably from the 1950s in perfect condition, how did it get lost?

SinisterBumFacedCat · 25/04/2018 20:09

A smashed up avacado bath
A camping stove
Pair of tights (!)
Vintage 1960s Pepsi bottles and Victorian bottles

AgedTawnyPort · 25/04/2018 20:11

A toilet, all parts, then a sink, the people we bought from had buried their old bathroom in the garden!

MrsSchadenfreude · 25/04/2018 20:12

My parents dug up a motorbike, side car, boots, leathers and helmet. They were very worried at one point that they were going to find a body too.

Also hundreds of Victorian medicine bottles, some still containing liquid or tablets.

HeartCurrent · 25/04/2018 20:17

My Uncle dug up a quilt cover full of neatly packed clothes that looked they were from the 70's also buried about 4 foot deep. Still baffles us to this day.

commanderprimate · 25/04/2018 20:18

A giant rusty iron tube, foot and a half diameter, six foot long. Had the bomb squad out, but it was just a pipe.
Completely stymied garden renovation until dug up though! A section is still there, as a tall planter, hammerited sky blue. But I want to hear about utterlydesperate's genuine UXB?

Lovelydovey · 25/04/2018 20:20

An Anderson shelter...

QueenOfTheAndals · 25/04/2018 20:25

A horse's head. Or rather, it's skull.

Weeditandreap · 25/04/2018 20:26

The garden skull was one of my favourite threads Smile

I once dug up a crowbar. I didn't know what to do with it so I buried it again. I'm sure the new owners of my house will wonder about it too.

cheekychicken103 · 25/04/2018 20:28

A smoking pipe made of bone

andantecantabile · 25/04/2018 20:29

Two sausages wrapped in cling film

averylongtimeasSpartacus · 25/04/2018 20:33

Quite a few bits of roman roof tile.

A tradesman's token dated 1667

Shadow1986 · 25/04/2018 20:42

You all need to stop before I go grab a spade and start destroying my lawn, I love the idea of finding old things. I’ve been asking for a metal detector for my birthday for years!

Fondantfancypant · 25/04/2018 20:46

A Nokia 3310 and after finding an old charger it still worked!

80sMum · 25/04/2018 20:48

A one gallon jar of pickled eggs, like you used to see in fish and chips shops.
