When out shopping yesterday I saw some little trees for sale, they were like mini Leylandii but softer and a paler green. They were roughly 18 inches tall and I mde a mental note of the name so that I could goolge them to see how tall tey grow and yep I've forgotten the name.

I want them for under my front window so don't want them if they grow too tall, so need to find out what they are.

Bump

The name could of had the word gold in in, or crest......possibly, then again it may not have had either of those words in

you're better off writing it down

what about the common juniper

also enquire about dwarf conifers the labels ought to say (Pinus),
(Picea), or (Abies)

is it a cypress goldcrest? not sure whether it is actually dwarf or is slow growing. they might be limited by the size of pot, so you could keep it artificially small?

NuttyMuffins · 29/04/2007 10:27

It does look like the cyprus goldcrest yep, thanks for that.

I want to put 3 of them in the soil under my window, are they any good for that or are they more pot plants ???
