I’ve got a cottage garden border that I started last year and hoping to add to this year. It was very pretty but there wasn’t much scent to the flowers. I’m just after ideas for scented cottage garden plants for this year 🙂.

Daphne for the winter- mine is flowering now and I have had a small sprig by the bed for 3 days and it still smells beautiful. They are supposed take a while to get established and start flowering but I bought mine (Daphne Odora Aureomarginata) in flower, and it’s flowered every year since. They are also very pretty at any time of the year.

White flowers are supposed to have the strongest scent, because insects are not guided to them by colour.
