Hi everyone, when should I buy and plant snowdrop bulbs and when do they flower? Thank you

They should be planted now and flower January/ February.
However, the best way is to get plants already growing ( in the green).
You can easily get flowering plants in garden centres from January onwards and they will spread over the years.

I've just bought some bulbs in Morrisons and planted them out. I'm always surprised quite how expensive snowdrops are, so was pleased (ish) to find them at £2 for 10. Hoping they will add to my small collection and spread quickly.

I've read that you should plant them in the green but bought some bulbs last night to give it a go. On the j Parker website there are currently 100 snowdrop bulbs for just under £14. I went halves with my mom so it'll be 50 for £7.

I've used J Parkers a lot and find them really rather good. Plants are small but grow away fast and they are certainly good value for money. Good idea to split and order with your mum- I don't often want 12 of anything in my small garden!

Hello and sorry to barge in here, but as someone who has been trying to grow snowdrops from bulbs for years with absolutely no joy, I wanted to say thank you for the in the green tip off . Keeping green fingers crossed it works.
