How to mask this ugly driveway

Anyone out there with a creative mind or experience of paving / creating a gravel patio?

My next door neighbour dug up my driveway in order to build his house. To cut a long story short, he won't replace it. I've given up fighting him but I have no budget to re-lay the flags. Plus I can't...incase he one day gets round to building the dividing wall. Sigh.

So I've started to dig it out. I was thinking of putting a decorative wavy border, on top of the existing flags, to disguise the half-pavers and then filling it with nice gravel. Has anyone got any other ideas? I have no money at all, so will need to tidy this up as cheaply as possible.

Thank you in advance.

Thanks Scabetty. I will check those out! I have a flourishing garden at the back but I inherited it...I just weed and cut back, with no idea of what the plants are. I might have loads of begonias without knowing it, geranium too. I will google!

@sunnyhills Look! I took your advice. I have surrounded the crap bit with your edging and am going to fill in with blue slate....home bargains have it for quite cheap. I'll fill in the broken tiles with bark chips.

I've dug out the flower bed and and planted, although bush is looking a bit dead 😂

Tall is good I think .Tree doesn't look dead ,just in need of a drink .

How about an ornamental grass ?

You have been working hard ! Bet you're pleased ,so much of an improvement .
