Orchid advice

Im feeling very fortunate as an orchid has appeared in one of my alpine pots. Pretty certain it's a dactylorhiza, probably a northern marsh orchid. No idea where it's come from but very happy to have it!

Question is, what do I do with it now?? Repot it? The pot is quite congested and it's sprung up in the middle of a saxifrage. Leave it as it is? Transplant it to a bed (garden is heavy, acidic clay)? I'm guessing it would be best not to fertilise it which is fine as I don't fertilise my alpines, just repot them every couple of years or give a tiny bit of seaweed.

Any advice gratefully received- it's a beautiful plant and I'd like to keep it happy Smile

How exciting!
We have Bee orchids sporadically.

I would leave it in its pot and place the pot in a tray of similar compost in the hope it seeds. When the seed head is completely dry and seeds have almost dispersed crumble it over the seed tray to get any last seeds
Possibly plant it in the garden in the autumn but your soil doesn't sound that suitable.

My soil isn't suitable for much, tbh Grin Apart from primulas, which go insane.
Hmm, just have to remember what compost I used innit alpine pot now....
