Composite decking

Hi everyone, we're thinking of having composite decking as our patio. Does anyone have any recommendations as they price varies so much between products? Thanks

don't fit decking unless you love rats.

We've had Millboard decking fitted this year.
I'd never heard of it until it was recommended by someone on Mumsnet.
I sent for lots of samples from various companies and once I'd seen the M'board, there was no comparison.
It was eye-wateringly expensive but doesn't require much maintenance other than a wash occasionally with soap and water.
It's non-slip and won't rot.
It looks amazing and our landscaper (who had never used it before) said how great it was to work with (it is screwed down from the top but the screws dissappear into the top layer of the boards).
I spoke to the landscaper about rats and he has taken steps to minimise risk.
We are delighted with the results.

Thanks Wingedharpy, I've seen the millboard composite, it's beautiful, especially love the weathered oak but as you said expensive. Do you know if it was much dearer than the competition? Saw that it has 25years guarantee which sounds very appealing

I know this will sound as if I have more money than sense (I don't) but...... I'm not sure how much the landscaper actually charged us for the decking as he quoted for the whole job without a specific price breakdown.
Put it this way, he submitted a quote for the job using his usual plastic decking stuff and when I asked for one using the Millboard so I could compare, it was almost (but not quite) double the price.
Weathered oak is what we went for and it does look very realistic in the flesh, so to speak.
I think in the M'board brochure/spiel they quote a price of approximately £70 per square metre excluding VAT.
