Over the last 3 or so months my Liriope muscari have been developing rusty brown splotches on the leaves, usually starting at the tips. (Also the lovely dark green leaves have been getting much paler.) Having googled this, I have identified it as anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum species. The advice online is to cut the affected leaves off in late winter/early spring.
I planted the Liriope muscari last Nov and didn't realise that you're supposed to cut all the old leaves down to the ground in spring anyway so I haven't done this.
Do any of you have any experience of this?
Should I just cut all the leaves down now (or is it too late for that)?
Should I just cut off the infected leaves? Down to the ground or just the tips?
