How can I save a passiflora?

Does anyone know how I can save a dying passiflora? We were bought it a few months ago and repotted it at the time. It looked great when we received it - approx a metre tall. Not much has happened to it since aside from it gradually fading and all the leaves dying! It's in a sunny spot and getting watered when it needs it. I assumed once weather improved that it would perk up but no such luck. Anyone?!

Here's a photo of the plant and its label: it's still green inside

It does look poorly. Has it been out in the frost? They are quite delicate until they are fully established and hardy. Sorry I've not much to suggest, except if it's a cold night put some bubble wrap around it.

It probably has been, she bought it for us late Jan. Do you think if I bring it inside for a few weeks it might perk up? Or is it too late if frost had it?

Probably just keep it watered and it might sprout from the bottom if the roots have been frost free. Give it time and wait and see when the weather warms up.

Mine hasn't had new growth yet and it's later than usual, but mine is in a windy spot. Have faith with it; they are tougher than you think and re-emerge around may time.

When it does start sprouting give it some tomato feed . Technically it's a fruit and that helps mine.

Nothing has been growing here in the SE for the last month, it's gone too cold. Everything is much later than last year. London is ahead of coastal areas.
I haven't got any new growth on my 15 year plus plant. If it's got green in the stems it will grow, and grow, and grow Smile

Does anyone else's get savaged by slugs. They are my favourite plant but I just can't grow because they get eaten?

Ours is only just coming back to life, I pruned the dead branches and some bits look like they are perking up.

twolittleboysonetiredmum · 07/05/2017 08:15

Maybe I should prune ours. I'll give it a month or so and if it doesn't perk up I guess I'll assume it's dead?!

Mine responds really well to pruning. Can you prune off any lanky dead bits or is it all entwined round the cane?

Yes to wrapping it up or bringing it in for a couple of weeks depending on where you are.

I'm in the SE and mine is putting out loads of new shoots. It looked a bit dead in its first year but it's now 6ft tall and wide. Have faith Grin

twolittleboysonetiredmum · 07/05/2017 17:21

It's all entwined round the cane except the end bits. Would pruning them make a difference? I've never pruned anything before so not sure where to start!

Our monstrous one is very slow to get growing this year.

twolittleboysonetiredmum · 08/05/2017 07:10

I've cut it right back. We've lovely weather at the moment so hopefully it'll be keen to get some sunshine and start sprouting!
