It is my first year here. Previous owner stocked the garden well. We have a huge bed of hellebores, a small magnolia and small fruit trees

Why don't you wait until they flower then decide if you like them or not. That's what I do.

I'm not near you then but we must have similar soil - I've got two very happy magnolias! Happy New Garden Flowers

Agree with JT about 08.44, could be something exciting like Onopordon or Miss Willmott's Ghost. I'd keep it and watch

09.09 Looks like Agapanthus

Very much enjoying watching my new garden develop. Lots of nice surprises.

I'm going to wait and see what the summer has to bring.

I hope it is agapanthus! Need to google your other suggestions for 8.44

Be careful moving the hellebore - they've got v deep roots and in my experience larger ones don't move v well. Some good info here; www.google.co.uk/amp/s/gardenerscorner.co.uk/threads/moving-hellebores.28389/%3Famp%3D1141140720

I'd agree with others and suggest living with the plants for a few seasons (if you can) and seeing what you think, before moving things or getting rid of them.

Thanks Londoner. I'm going to try and be patient
