Help identify a houseplant please

Anyone know what this is? It was given to me.

Yes looks like mother in laws tongue to me - sansevieria (I may have misspelled that!)

That's what I thought at first but when I looked they seem to have taller thinner twisty leaves.

Are the leaves fleshy or flat? If they're fleshy, I'd say it an aloe

The leaves on my plant are quite thick and v shaped, the plant is about 1 foot tall and I've had it a few years, isn't growing fast but has grown.

Definitely an aloe then, mother in law's tongue has flat leaves.

Zebra Cactus (Haworthia attenuata)? It is part of the Aloe family so looks very similar but doesn't get quite so big!

Yes think it must be a Tiger Aloe! That's the closest I've seen, thanks.

I looked at zebra cactus but don't think it's that one, pretty sure it must be a zebra aloe

It looks like a succulent to me too. I have not tried them, but there are plant identification apps.

Goggling and could be an Agave, if you find out I'd love to know. I like that plant.

Have checked out photos of all the suggestions and I'm pretty sure it's a Tiger Aloe, thanks for the help everyone.

Its Latin name is Aloe variegata - aka the partridge-breasted Aloe. A succulent Aloe originating from South Africa - a very common "cottage windowsill" plant but now almost extinct in habitat. Very easy to grow on your sunniest windowsill, don't overwater it! It will in time, produce a flower spike of coral coloured bell shaped flowers.

I love it, was telling my dh about it.
I realized while looking for them on Google that I need more plants.
