Pruning roses

Hopeless gardener here.
I didn't prune my roses in November. I know you should prune them in either March or November.
The leaves are yellowing and they look awful. Could I prune them now. It's very mild. I am in Dublin area , Ireland.
Also my laurel hedge looks dehydrated. Is it mad to water it in winter?

Can you remember what varieties you have? It does vary a bit - climbers and ramblers can be done now to February, but other types it's better to wait til March.

I'm sure you already know this, but the leaves will yellow this time of year as they are deciduous. They should fall off and it'll look a bit better then! This is the scrappiest time of year in the garden.

The laurel - it could be cold weather dehydration, which is caused by the fact that frozen water isn't available to a plant. Most plants recover as the temperature rises. However, waterlogged plants can look dehydrated when actually the problem is the opposite - so do stick a trowel in the soil at the base and check it's definitely too dry and not too wet before you add more water to the mix!

Very mild here.

Get a trowel and have a look at the soil around the roots of one of them. If it looks dry, yes absolutely you can water!

Is it a new hedge? It is unusual for established laurel to struggle - it's normally bomb-proof. But mild, windy weather can cause some issues.

Thank you Shove.
It's in a while but that section had too many plants planted there and they fought for water.
