When we moved in there was a single trunk (base about six inches), narly old mock orange in a corner with leaves and maybe one or two flowers above head height. Like most things in this garden, it had never been pruned and had grown in search of light. I cut it down to knee height 2 years ago, last year it looked dead but this year it's put on growth and looks like flowering.
Brilliant you say !
Ah. The issue is that we're having building work done and it's exactly where the corner foundations will be.
I could try to dig it up (and fail), try and take cuttings (?) or enjoy it for 2 months and replant a new one sonewgere else in the garden.
What do you suggest ? Seems a waste not to try and save it....
