Are these weeds?

Complete gardening newbie (Only weeds I can identify are dandelion & nettle)

Have lots of the first one coming through a slope so I hope it's not a weed as it would be a nightmare to start weeding!

Bonsai sounds great but I think I'm still too much of a novice starting out

As for the Vinca, I'm going to grow it on quite a steep bank which I haven't any plans for yet (but which had been overtaken by nettles and willowherb.

I've cut / pulled up most and going to put some cardboard down before setting the Vinca on it.

The bank is quite self contained (no chance of getting on lawn as separated by driveway

Second one is definitely ash seedling, dig it out if you can, ASAP they are very persistent
