Mint - would I be mad to...

I kill mint in pots. The herb border is already solid with lemon balm (so it would have competition). Or should I just plant it in the pot it's in ?

That's my parents' neck of the woods Humphrey. I'll send my mother round with the lemonade!

I'll happily swap lemon balm for mint... I've got metres of the stuff. Does it work in pimms...?
