What do you have between your raised beds and would you recommend it?

Just that, really.
I don't want too much maintenance so not brick paths that will take a lot of weeding.

I had been thinking grass but we have a big lawnmower so they will need to be extra wide if I go with that.

Thanks.

Cheap concrete slabs on a sand base and then planting with loads of alpine has worked for us. Thyme is your friend here. Has stabilised the paving and hidden it's cheapness. this area was a gravelled empty patch befits though so not sure if that makes a difference to the weed situation.

Ive recently moved into a house with raised borders and lots of decking.

I looks good but Ive only lived here in the winter so far. The raised borders dont have much in them (think they took all the plants with them). Im hoping with some more greenery in the coming months it will look more alive.

I like the practicality of the decking. No grass to mow and no weeds Smile

We used to have raised beds with gravel paths between (over weedproof membrane). If you have young children, beware - the gravel will end up spread across your entire garden! Also there may be the cats using it as a toilet issue - although we had that problem on our gravel driveway but not so much the paths in the raised beds - they just used the raised beds anyway!!
