Doe anyone else hate their garden?

We don't have any grass, just a big deck.

The summer really depresses me with all the paddling pools in all the gardens.... it would cost too much to put down grass at the moment.

I don't like our garden. We used to have a bed of large bushes which provided some nice green colour. Without discussion, DP pulled them all up, leaving a vast bed of mud for the DCs to run in and out of the house. . That was 3 years ago. He is out there most weekends digging it...then nothing. I've had enough of the mud / sandpit and say I want it turfed and have weeded it myself so we can get on with it.

Lavender is a good choice, hardy, colour, smells nice.

We used to have yellow lavender which is now purple!
