Can I move plants?

They've just been put in bad places. I want to move a geranium which is currently flowering, a peony that I planted as a bulb last year so it is still tiny and not flowering, plus I also think I want to move a lavender plant (how tall does lavender grow?) that is also currently flowering. Can I do it now? Will it kill things?

It should be ok, but you should be very careful with the roots and move them with lots of soil around them.

Lavender will go from 50 to 100 cm. If it's flowering, I'd think that's the maximum height or close to it.

Water them well beforehand, and after too...

Thefog - so it should be dripping wet when I dig it out?

No need for it to be dripping wet, make sure the hole you put it into is well watered and maybe a little compost too, transfer the plant, then water it in really well, I normally give it a good water for a few days just to get it settled in.

Transferring plants now is ok, but the flowers may wilt, I moved some yesterday but cut them right down before digging them up. They may come again this summer, quite likely not but I find it easier this way and it also gives the plant more energy to put down their roots......or so Monty says

I always feed them when moving them too.
