Removing decking to reinstate lawn

Our garden is rectangular and is probably 30x40ft. Currently its roughly 4 squares - 1 raised decking in a bannister around it, 1 gravel with a large shed on it, 1 further decked area and the final square is under the kitchen window and the gate opens on to it and its wasted space really- thats concrete.

The decking was here when we bought the house (6yrs ago) and its starting to break in places and the annual staining of it, is a pain. My DC are 1 and 3 and the decking has been good for playing on and paddling pools etc.

We have been considering moving house and one of the reasons is for a more child friendly garden but perhaps we should just make ours more suitable by reinstating the lawn. Has anyone done this - i am a gardening novice.

Under the decking is concrete and the garden is on different levels so some leveling etc would need to be done. I now this is a big job but cant cost more than moving house right???

Just read it back and to clarify - half is decking with a small rise - 2 steps. Other half is concrete and gravel - with shed on it - this area also has a small step between each area.
