Landscaping around a trampoline to hide it

We have a small garden and a big trampoline, can't afford to put it in ground and anyway we put it away in the winter. Trouble is the lawn underneath it tends to die and of course it looks quite unsightly. The garden is too small to screen it off with a hedge or fence, but I am wondering about somehow planting around it, to at least soften or hide it, maybe changing the lawn underneath to something like gravel, but of course I want it to be soft to land on if they fall off (we don't have a net). Has anyone succesfully done anything like this? Thanks.

We have bark underneath the trampoline which is separated from the grass by a 'border' of old bricks set into the ground. (bit like this but with bark in the middle and grass around the outside)

Eventually when we get rid of the trampoline we'll just relay the circle inside the brick circle with grass or plant it as a feature bed.

You could always plant some pots with something tall and willowy like bamboo to soften the view (don't plant bamboo into the ground direct though as it will take over!)

Sorry, I also meant to add that it's difficult to hide something thats approx. 10ft wide x 8ft high unless you have a huge garden and can section off part of it behind a big hedge so your best bet is just to make the area around it look as nice as you can.

Hi thanks I like that idea, yes I think it would be hard to hide, just really want to make it look less ugly. Thanks.
