Hello! We've moved from a house with a fab garden, with lots of places to explore etc, to a small garden, and I'm struggling to come up with ideas/games/toys for my 7 year old to do in the back garden now the weather's getting better! She's a real out-doorsy gal and at the mo we just have a swingball, which she does love, but does anyone have ideas for toys/games/imaginative creative stuff she can do on a small patch of lawn/patio?! Bless her, mummy's feeling v guilty!
We do obvs go to the park, out on walks etc but need things for afternoons after school etc... Any ideas/comments gratefully received!! Thanks!

Take a look a my website Http:www.kidsinthegarden.co.uk

Nipersvest ideas are great. You could also have windchimes (homemade?), outdoor mirrors, lots of plant. veg and herb growing. If you hurry you can plant a willow den, though may be a bit large for your garden.

Perhaps ask her what she would like

She could make plant labels, paint stones and flower pots

A magnifying glass for 'bug spotting' . Usbourne do a nice book on spotting bugs and garden creatures/butterflies. Make a bug home or a hedgehog home.

A pair of junior binoculars and a good bird table. You can then make a bird box too and hope the birds come to visit.
