What things can I plant that slugs will avoid?

I think I have just about given up on the slugs - they seem to eat EVERYTHING - not just hostas, but any little plant. My new theory is to concentrate on the things that they will avoid. So far they have left my geraniums alone (things that continental people put in pots - pelargonums?, not traditional English bedding). Can anybody think of any other plants that they will avoid.

Meanwhile, my neighbour claims that he has no slugs. Didn't go into detail, but I suspect he is nuking them and they are setting up little refugee camps in my garden

radishes, parsnips, raspberries, potatoes, onions, roses, wisteria, budleia. I think sweetpeas are ok, too. Snails (guess it's same for slugs) like to live under Laurel and conifers but they don't eat those things.

Best tactic we found was to remove their habitat (like conifers and certain shrubs). Also if you have a pond, frogs and toads eat slugs. But then you won't be able to any slug pellets.

For bedding/containers I have found that snapdragons are invincible, also lobelias and busy lizzies. They seem to leave most of the herbaceous perennials alone too (eg aquelegias)

They haven't touched the dianthus & I have a BIG slug population. Sweet peas & phlox were OK once they'd grown away a bit. Haven't touched the asters, lavender or hebes. They munched my primroses though.

I have some slug and snail repellent - it says on the label that the active ingredient is yucca extract. So presumably yuccas are OK? (I have to say the stuff doesn't seem terribly effective though...)
