Can you put wetwipes on the compost?

New to this composting malarkey and can't find an answer to this question. We generally use huggies, if that makes a difference.

Yes if they're the green/pink ones which are made of paper. Do they tear easily? Not if they're the ones made of synthetic fabric.

Even so, I wouldn't put too many in without mixing them well with other biodegradable waste (garden refuse, kitchen waste etc) as they may take a while to decompose (even with poo to help them along!) Also, I'm assuming they will be pooey, so don't use the resulting compost around salad crops.

There was life before 'wipes'. I used to use a wodge of toilet paper with a squirt of baby lotion which I think is ok to flush down the loo. Seem to have gone off the gardening theme here...
